APPLIED BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS SERVICES
Evidence-Based Treatment
Our evidence-based treatment approach relies on therapeutic interventions that are supported by rigorous scientific research demonstrating effectiveness addressing the complex needs of learners with autism and related special needs. Our intervention strategies are designed relying on empirical evidence to inform decision-making and treatment planning. By utilizing such an approach with demonstrated efficacy, we can optimize positive outcomes for our students.
Naturalistic Teaching
Opportunities
In Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), utilizing a naturalistic teaching approach as a component of treatment involves embedding learning opportunities within everyday activities and environments, especially those that involve play, like our enormous gym! Such opportunities capitalize on learners’ interests and motivation to promote skill development in natural contexts. By taking advantage of incidental teaching and environmental engineering, we can promote generalization and maintenance of skills across a variety of setting, situations, and instructors, enhancing our learners’ functional independence and adaptability.
Continuous Evaluation
of Outcomes
At Archer, we are continuously evaluating learners’ Response to Intervention (RTI) using a wide variety of data collection tools. Such data-rich evaluation of RTI is crucial for several reasons. First, it allows us to monitor students’ progress systematically and objectively, enabling early identification of difficulties, and subsequent treatment adjustments as necessary. Second, it allows our treatment providers to tailor support to meet individual needs. Finally, data-rich evaluation of RTI ensures accountability and evidence-based decision-making, guiding us in allocating resources efficiently to optimize learner outcomes.
Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma-informed care is an approach to healthcare that recognizes both the prevalence and impact of trauma—which is not uncommon among individuals with special needs—on individuals’ lives. This approach emphasizes the creation of safe environments, promoting trust and relationship-building, and fostering empowerment and collaboration. By adopting this approach, we seek to understand the unique experiences of those who may have experienced trauma, integrating this understanding into all aspects of our services to promote healing and resilience.
